The Silver Lining

The Silver Lining The Silver Lining Wellness Centre Pvt. Ltd., located in Mumbai, is a mental health initiative that strives to show you the brighter side of life. Ltd.

Welcome to the Silver Lining Wellness Centre Pvt. This space was created by Divya Srivastava as an extension of her private practice as a counsellor and psychotherapist. The intention behind this initiative was to create a safe space where individuals have the freedom to completely explore the truth of their own being in a gentle manner, free of judgment, so that they are able to uncover their emotional needs, blocks and solutions to their issues. At the Silver Lining Wellness Centre Pvt. Ltd., we believe in dealing with perspectives for we understand that different people have their own unique models of viewing the world, and therefore, have different needs. Hence, we adopt an eclectic approach and offer different psychotherapeutic tools or methods at different stages of therapy, integrating them to help our clients be their complete wholesome selves. In addition to offering a solution-focused approach, we believe in the holistic development of the individual, and provide counselling services to enable long-term happier states of being and existing.

I quit my first job, what I had then believed to be my dream-job, within
2.5 months, without having any other job in-hand, and without any applications or interviews underway.
I quit because in the few months that I was there, all I kept feeling was that I don't know anything, and I kept turning up for work with a deep, sinking feeling in my stomach.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠?
💔 The role was everything I'd dreamed of, but within a month of joining, I was told that my supervisor was quitting, and I was going to be "promoted" - basically, it meant that I would be fulfilling her role - one she'd had for years - with not even a month of experience. Being my first job, I was seeking mentorship and guidance; suddenly, there was none, and the few weeks I stayed without her were awful!
💔 Besides, the new, loaded responsibilities did not include any of the perks my supervisor had, which meant that I was still being paid peanuts for seven times the responsibility (𝐼 𝑎𝑚 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑒𝑥𝑎𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝐼 𝑠𝑎𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑚𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝑠ℎ𝑒𝑟!).
💔 Also, being given responsibility without any power, or designation hike doesn't work. In that organization's structure, things just weren't functioning anymore for me.
💔 I also realised that in my eagerness to land my "dream-job", I had agreed to certain aspects of the role that I actually wasn't comfortable with.
💔 My "dream job" appeared so on paper. The real picture was very different, and I'd been naive enough to not do enough research.

As a fresher in the field of Psychology, jobs are scarce. However, in your attempt to land a job, don't just settle for anything - 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼!

One of my favourite tools for understanding personality types is the Enneagram Model - I find its dynamic systems and organizations not only fascinating, but extremely useful in my work with clients, because, unlike other models, it moves beyond personality...

Learning about the Enneagram in-depth and in its true essence is not possible through online workshops and courses because unlike other theories and models, the enneagram actually helps you identify your worst fears and your no-go zones. Confronting that part of ourselves can be challenging. To make the entire process gentle and wholesome, I am conducting the Enneagram Exploration Retreat for the first time ever in India!

This is an experiential retreat happening in Lonavala between 12th and 16th August, 2023. There are limited seats only.

The retreat will focus on exercises to help us see through the veils of our personality structures. We will look at the personality types as nine distinct aspects of human nature that can be found in all of us regardless of our type. We will see how these different parts of ourselves manifest personally in our lives, and how, rightly understood, they can lead us to deeper inner resources and lasting joy.

The retreat will include music, meditations, movement, and practices that will help bring our centres of intelligence (thinking, feeling, and instinct) into greater alignment, thus opening us to the transformative action of freedom.

If you are interested, feel free to fill the form: https://lnkd.in/dnCpnWH8

We will schedule an interview with you after you register to ensure it is something that aligns with what you are seeking.
