Our team at Global Hospital, Parel, Mumbai successfully conducted a living Donor Intestine transplant on a 9-year-old Kazakhstan boy giving him a second lease of life. This is India’s first Paediatric Living Donor Intestine Transplant on an International Recipient.

Dr Ameet Mandot Head of Department and
Dr Gaurav Chaubal - Director of Liver , Pancreas, Intestine Transplant along with his team of doctors successfully performed a 14 hour complex procedure.

Press conference provided a platform for discussion on Intestine Transplant in India, medical advances and the importance of organ donation. We hope that with sharing of this story, we create more awareness about the need for intestinal transplants.

8 years ago I had a liver transplant surgery and the whole arrangement was done by Dr. Ameet Mandot sir. It was because of him that I was able to attend the wedding of my son Vishal, who donated his liver to me. Thank you Dr Ameet sir
