Update on National Sports Day Celebrations 2025

In line with the observance of National Sports Day 2025, our institution has organized a series of activities dedicated to honoring the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand and promoting the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship, and Respect.

29th August 2025: A Google Meet was conducted to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand and to brief participants about the upcoming events. Students were also encouraged to download the Fit India Mobile App and actively track their steps as part of the nationwide fitness initiative.

30th August 2025: Online games were successfully organized, including E-Chess and E-Football, with enthusiastic participation.

31st August 2025: A Sports Quiz is scheduled to enhance awareness of India’s sporting legacy and achievements.

1st September 2025: Carrom and Table Tennis Tournaments will be held on campus, offering students an opportunity to showcase their skills in indoor sports.

National Seminar on “Innovations in Methodologies for Drug Design and Synthesis: Challenges and Opportunities”
Principal K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai, under the aegis of IQAC and HSNC Board, is organizing a two-day national seminar on 18 and 19 September 2025 at the Smt. Geeta Israni Auditorium, KMKCP.

The seminar will feature eminent speakers from academia, research, and industry who will address emerging trends in drug design, green chemistry, radiopharmaceuticals, impurity profiling, analytical method development, NMR applications, and process R&D. The event aims to provide insights into innovative synthetic methodologies, challenges in analytical sciences, and opportunities in pharmaceutical research.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts of original research in areas such as drug discovery, process chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, and AI applications in drug design. The best video presentations will be awarded.

With its legacy of 54 years in pharmaceutical education and research, KMKCP offers this platform to foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation in drug discovery and synthesis.

The 79th Independence Day of our nation was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Principal K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy. The event commenced with the flag hoisting, followed by a warm welcome and hosting by Ms. Shifa Khan.

I/c Principal Dr. Rajani Athawale delivered an inspiring address, recalling the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and urging all to uphold unity, discipline, and service to the nation. This was followed by a heartfelt speech by student Ms. Nish*ta Kunder, and a soulful patriotic song by Mr. Gajanan, the college librarian. A group singing performance further heightened the spirit of unity.

The DLLE Club presented a creative skit, adding an engaging touch to the celebration. The program concluded with the Maharashtra Geet, National song and the National Anthem sung in unison.

The entire celebration, meticulously coordinated under the cultural incharge Dr. Mrinal Sanaye, Student Council and DLLE Team, was a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s glorious journey and a reaffirmation of the college’s commitment to its progress and prosperity.

The workshop conducted by Mettler Toledo featured insightful presentations by Dr. Minal Naik and Dr. Sanket Salagonkar, focusing on the use of software for reaction monitoring with multiple applications in reaction studies.

Dr. Naik emphasized on various instruments used in laboratory studies for process Chemistry with tools in enhancing data and process understanding.
Dr. Salagonkar provided technical insights into the application of Mettler Toledo’s advanced software solutions, demonstrating how they support efficient reaction analysis, kinetic studies, and improved decision-making in R&D.

The session highlighted the importance of automation and data integration in modern laboratories, showcasing case studies and live demonstrations of software-driven reaction tracking and analysis.
