Grades of Hemorrhoids You Didn’t Know About!!

Grade I : The Silent Stage
“Just blood on tissue” is how patients describe it.
There’s no prolapse or mass coming out, only bleeding/discomfort. At Healing Hands, we often catch these early during routine checks. However, most patients remain silent during this stage, trying home remedies, hoping it will go away.
Grade II – The Straining Stage
There is some mass/prolapse during toilet strain which goes back in by itself after passing motion. It becomes harder to ignore the symptoms at this stage. This is the most common stage we see in first-time visitors
Grade III – The Push-Back Stage
Prolapse needs to be pushed back with fingers. Yes, literally. It’s daily discomfort! We see patients in this stage daily, often after months of delay in seeking help.
Grade IV – The Advanced Stage
There’s a persistent prolapse/mass, it may be painful, with bleeding/mucus. This prolapse cannot be pushed back inside!
At this stage advanced treatment is needed. (Laser, Stapler).
