✨ "Does Kojic Acid Soap really remove tan and pigmentation?"
Let’s decode the science vs the hype! 👩⚕️🧼
Kojic acid is one of the most popular ingredients for pigmentation, tanning, and uneven skin tone — but here’s what most people don’t know 👇
🧪 It works only in an acidic pH (around 4–6) and is chemically unstable.
🧼 Soap, on the other hand, is alkaline — pH 8 to 10.
So when kojic acid is added to a soap, it oxidizes and loses its activity before it even reaches your skin.
⏱ And since a soap stays on your face for barely 30 seconds… there’s simply no contact time for real pigment correction.
✅ What really works:
• Kojic acid serums or creams (1–2%) in acidic base
• Combine with Vitamin C, Arbutin, or Niacinamide
• Use at night, and always apply SPF 50+ in the morning
Science doesn’t foam that easily 😉
