The NGO provides a sheltered space for adult beneficiaries (over 18 yrs of age) who visit the facility under the care of their parents/legal guardians. Over here in addition to learning about self care, they prepare and package a limited range of home grown food products and make simple handcrafted products as a not- for- profit income generation activity. APS aims to enhance the social and physical abilities of the beneficiaries and to create livelihood opportunities for them. This will be achieved through the followingstrategy aimed at organizational strengthening along with focused care and support interventions over the next five years:
1.Train the target group in life skills including personal hygiene and self-care, safety and communications skills.
2.Provide medical care and psychological support to the special needs ward and the caregivers.
3.Set up a care facility for these individuals , with the help of professionals, to prepare them to look after themselves and stay away from their primary caregivers as a part of like skills training.
4.Maximize the outputs of the sheltered workshop & diversity by expanding the range of products and services offered.
5. Through this page we aim to create awareness about the workshop & spread a word about the work that we have been doing for the past 20 years. We want to reach out to and help as many people as possible.
