Unwilling surrender is always interesting to see and handle. This boy of 15 wasn’t ready for this session. For this kind of surrender. He actually told his mother that don’t take me for things where my guards go down so much. His mother reckons he loved it but it made him too vulnerable. Something he didn’t like.

Why he didn’t like? There is a backstory to it I am not going to get into here. But the question I am doing to leave you all with is, should we actually gift sessions like these, that can be so potent and powerful to those who aren’t ready for it? My answer is No.

Even though this melting and surrender is exactly what he needed, this decision should have been his. In my defence I did ask him if he really was ready to do this and he (who didn’t really know) said yes every time I did ( I asked a couple of times).

So my request would be not to gift this to people without actually telling them what they are getting into. Also, please don’t ‘convince’ anyone to do this. It can be extremely powerful and deep process work. I don’t think we should gift these things unless someone is specifically seeking them.

But here is hoping for a generation that starts believing in the power of letting go and knows that strength isn’t always defined by brute force and thick emotional walls. Amen.
