Let’s talk about interproximal pappilae…especially those next to implants. This is a 1 year follow up image and X-ray of an implant placed in the lower 2nd premolar region. I find it interesting that the bone as seen on the X-ray is horizontal while the papilla is pointed. This brings us to the conclusion that the contact point is the one that plays a very important role. A good contact point which is about 4-5mm away from the bone is what gives a good complete papilla coverage (thanks ) P.S : Patient came in to get an Endo on the next tooth: which brings us to the next point of Caries on teeth adjacent to implant. Will keep that discussion for a future post 😁😁

Indirect Sinus lift with Densah and Novabone putty through a Tissue punch approach. I strongly believe a flapless approach or a minimalistic flap/tissue punch approach results in minimal post-operative discomfort to the patient. I would love to hear your experiences with such approaches.
