The vibrant and colourful festival of Holi is just around the corner. Though it's true that the colours used in Holi causes a lot of allergies, irritations and break-outs later on, you can protect yourself from such aftereffects and enjoy a skin safe holi. Here’s how……

o Physical protection from colours is a must. Wear clothes that cover your body, such as full sleeved shirts or kurtis.
o Applying oil will make it easy to wash off colour easily. Apply Coconut oil or Olive oil all over your body, at least 20-25 minutes prior. Oil your hair with warm coconut oil or olive oil. If you have a sensitive scalp, rub a bit of lemon juice.
o Apply lip balm, it will keep your lips hydrated and prevent colour stains.
o Take shower with lukewarm water and don't scrub yourself too hard. Apply lemon on stubborn colour stains. Avoid taking frequent baths, washing the face again and again.
o Drink lots of water before stepping out and also after you are done, chemicals in the colours can dehydrate the skin.

Take precaution to play with skin friendly natural colours. If natural colours are not possible, then ensure a better quality of colours, buy colours from a reputed shop or vendor.
