Wheat grass (a potent healing agent)
What it is?
Wheatgrass is a food prepared from the cotyledons of the common wheat plant, Triticum aestivum.
Wheatgrass is harvested for juicing when the grass reaches its nutritional peak. This is just before the jointing stage, when the plant is between 7 and 11 inches tall.
At this point, it has accumulated energy which will soon power a massive growth spurt.
How is it consumed & stored?
It is consumed either in the form of juice or powder concentrate.
When the grass is squeezed, a dark green liquid is expressed and this is called wheatgrass juice.
The wheat grass can be stored in the refrigerator in a plastic container or a good quality cellophane bag for about 3 days. but the juice must be drunk as soon as juiced orwithin1/2 hour of juicing.
Better than blenderizing with electric blenders make usage of manual mince maker or stone crushing method .Add a little water while grinding or pounding- strain the juice through a clean cloth into a cup or a glass. Grind again adding water - repeat this process until the remaining grass is almost white.
