Regardless of the words your telling me that "the sky is the limit.
When I know I can reach the stars..
But your actions are holding me back like gravity
A force meant to be defied
And I will defy your disrespect, mistreatments and misunderstandings.
I am strong because I am not afraid to break a nail
To get down& dirty
In fact I'll claw, punch&kick my way through your barriers to reach the top
To my destiny
Ill break chains of social injustice that restrict me
Ill break free from cage of your gender stereotypes
I am independent cos I defy those old Disney princess fantasies
You see, ill stop my wicked witch, slay my dragon&still have time to run my kingdom
I don't need Prince Charming to save me
I am the head not the tail
I don't need Cosmo, 17 nor Vogue to tell how to dress
I don't live in the Malibu dream houses
I dnt come vth accessories
I will never be barbie
I am more than what you see
I am more than my face
I am strong cos I can bleed for 5 days & 4 nights and only get so much as a cramp
I can endure the pain of my body being ripped open just to have birth
I am more than my body
I am temple that deserves respect
I am not tool for your pleasure
I won't fix your bed n make ur breakfast
My many uses aren't to be used by you
Don't call me babes
Don't undermine me
For I am power beyond belief
I have mind
I have a voice
I have a soul
