🌴 Palmyra Sprouts — A Winter Crop with a Summer Nature!

Shared this on my story and many asked, “What is this?”
These are Palmyra sprouts — the underground shoots of the same tree that gives us Tadgola / Ice Apple, the famous natural coolant. ❄️🍈

And here’s the interesting part 👇
Even though they appear in winter,
they are actually cooling in nature — just like the fruit!
Their thermal property doesn’t change.
Their winter availability is simply because of the agricultural cycle, not because they generate heat.

✨ Cooling Benefits:
🌿 Known as a natural coolant
🌞 Helpful in easing heat-related discomfort
🥥 Traditionally enjoyed in summer regions for their refreshing effect

✨ Nutritional Goodness:
💪 Rich in natural fibre
🧬 Good plant protein
🩸 Iron, calcium & magnesium
🍃 Supports digestion, gut health & steady energy

So while the fruit cools you in summer…
the sprouts reach us in winter —
same tree, same cooling nature, different season.
Isn’t nature fascinating? 🌱💛

Why is it that in winters… our hunger doubles but our willpower halves? 😂❄️
There is a science behind this — and it’s fascinating.”

If you’re also wondering why your body wants more food, more often…
this video explains exactly what’s happening inside you.

👉 Watch this video now and take charge of your winter eating.

The kanji drink is had as an appetizer. it has a sour, spicy & pungent taste. kanji is also a probiotic drink and extremely good for the gut. Enhances your immune system.

Yesterday’s IG poll made me smile—so many of us love green garlic 🌱 in our winter bowls.
Undhiyu, parathas, dals, soups, chutneys… it adds warmth to everything.

But the roots—the part that quietly nourishes this herb—often get thrown away.

Today’s post is a gentle reminder: they’re edible, flavourful, and worth celebrating 🤩

Swipe to see how you can give these tiny roots a second life.
And share your ideas too…

Let’s cook mindfully, waste less, and honour what nature gives us 🤝♻️
