On 12th February 2023 , the Dental Association (IDA) conducted the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, uniting leaders, experts, and stakeholders with one shared goal: safeguarding the future of India’s smiles.

It was a privilege to once again attend the FDI World Dental Congress 2025 in Shanghai.

For me, the Congress is always more than just an event — it is an opportunity to meet friends and colleagues from across the world, exchange knowledge, and engage in meaningful discussions on the future of global oral health policies. 🦷💡

This year too, I was honored to represent India and contribute at the official FDI meetings, where together we worked towards shaping decisions that impact dentistry worldwide. Apart from representing the Indian Dental Association (IDA), it was personally fulfilling to share India’s perspective and be part of these collaborative efforts for advancing oral health globally

Heartfelt gratitude to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon'ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman for reducing GST on Dental products & Oral Health Product from 18% & 12% to 5%

This Important Decision was strongly represented by The Indian Dental Association on behalf of Dentists, Dental Trade organizations, and Patients.

We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Shammi Gambhir for providing valuable insights of GST which helped us to present it to Finance Ministry appropriately.

This Government's decision will positively impact the dental community and significantly benefit oral healthcare nationwide.
