Some tips for all of us to not go completely sedentary for the next 8 days.

- you could do something as simple as going for a vigourous walk for 30 minutes before going for any dinner or lunch.

- Dance, dance, dance......dance as much as you can and as often as you can. It's fun and it is a vigourous activity. Go for it!

- Try having a small snack before you have that festive drink.

Wednesday wisdom...
: You often hear people chide or taunt a person who is in pain saying “it’s all in your mind:” Actually the term should not be used in a derogatory manner. Yes! All pain is in your mind (brain)

Any part of your body that is in pain, the nerves and the mitochondria around that area carry the message to your brain. You feel pain in a specific part of your body because your brain wants you to feel that pain and warn you to take corrective action. Your brain decides the intensity of pain. That’s how you quickly pull away from a hot iron and can hold your hand longer over a candle flame.

Your brain also decides what is a good pain and what is a bad pain. Have a massage that may hurt in certain parts, your brain will teach you to bear the pain as it’s good for you.

The ultimate example of your brain being in control of pain is when you hear stories of how after years of amputation of a limb the person feels pain in the limb that is non-existent and this pain can be searing at times.
Suffering from pain that you are carrying for long? Talk to me.
