Pigmentation is just a sign- it needs to be examined in detail to reach a clinical diagnosis. Depending on the diagnosis made by a dermatologist- a treatment plan is made accordingly - which may consist of medical management and/or in-clinic procedures. Remember- applying only a brightening cream cannot always help in pigmentation issues.
