Pregnancy Diet fallacy - Consuming during pregnancy makes delivery easier?

It is a very common practice to make pregnant women gorge on ghee and even drink it in the last trimester or during the ninth month to ensure vaginal lubrication and a normal delivery. However, this is not backed by any scientific evidence.

You may include ghee in your diet during pregnancy as it is a healthy source of fats. However, it is important to include it in just the required amounts, as consuming it in large quantities could lead to weight gain and obesity, which can lead to other complications in the pregnancy. Also, it becomes very difficult to get rid of excess fat after childbirth...
