Hi everyone, my webinar on health and nutrition was well-attended by 180+ live participants.

We discussed:
1. My fitness journey - losing 25kg in 25 weeks
2. Insulin Resistance and its central role in health and nutrition
3. An evidence-based approach that helps you design your own health plan4. Why is intermittent fasting (14+10) and time-restricted eating beneficial?
5. Why does eating a low-carb diet help you get into ketosis, and why is this so beneficial for health and nutrition
6. When to start physical activity, how much and how often
7. Resources you will need to get fitter

The link to the recording, the slide deck, a PDF summary of DIY your health plan, and so much more is on YouTube now; the link is in the comments below.

The approach is very doable and will yield results for everyone. Looking forward to your feedback and what else you would want to hear in the subsequent sessions.

It was a super trip to Goa to present my perspectives on managing age related macular degeneration with a promising new drug.

Discussed clinical trials, real world evidence and case studies with 30+ eager participants, all leading ophthalmologists in Goa, over a 30 min session with everyone in rapt attention.

Met with Dr Girish Velis, a very promising retina specialist and my student who spoke about retinal diseases in premature infants.

A Mentor is someone who thinks about you and looks out for your benefit even when you are not in front on them.

A Mentor watches your progress and feels your joy quietly. A Mentor offers advice when he/she feels you need it, even when you think you don't.

A Mentor is so much more than just a teacher. I have had some amazing mentors over the years. You remember mentors for life

Now I have had the privilege to mentor some of the best minds in Indian Ophthalmology over the past few years via YOSI ( Young ophthalmologists society of India) and Sengupta's ReSearch Academy.

I was recognised for this at the first annual YOSI awards in Delhi recently. Also participated in a few scientific deliberations at the meeting.

Let's all try to be mentors and improve those who seek knowledge and light.

Doing a thesis and publishing it can be a fascinating journey full of revelations, surprises, occasional disappointments but of mostly development of a growth mindset. It doesn’t have to be a chore and definitely should not be frustrating.

This is the message I gave to the incredibly talented and focused residents and faculty at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar this weekend where I taught clinical research methodology for more than 2 hours with everyone in rapt attention.

My sincere thanks to HOD Dr Sucheta Parija for the invitation and for motivating her cadre to do better everyday.

A bone-chilling video worth revisiting.
I made this at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic after a lot of research about its origin and found that the pandemic was inevitable - yes you heard me right.
There could be more pandemics lurking to grab humanity in the future, hence making this video still very relevant .

Let me know your thoughts on this one.

In this video, I show how the COVID19 pandemic was inevitable (yes you heard right) and how some scientists saw it coming. I also discuss whether this is an ...

This is a recording of the live webinar that I conducted on critiquing a published paper.

The example I took was from a poster presented at the American Heart Association conference in March 2024 that controversially showed the Intermittent Fasting can increase chances of dying sooner.

If you missed it, hope you catch this engaging session. Let me know if you have about doubts or comments.

Also please let me know if you would like me to cover other similar topics.

As usual, thank you everyone for your support.
