Movement is the language of brain. Movement with attention can foster significant changes in the neuronal connections of the brain.
In children with cerebral palsy and developmental delay movements are significantly compromised being primitive in nature, repetitive and non purposeful. Integration is the key to re pattern the motor patterns. Combination of reflex integration and movement with attention followed by variations and differentiation promises to enhance the motor patterns significantly.

Postural Care and Management is of utmost importance factor to be considered in long run during rehabilitation of a Child with special needs with Gross Motor Delay.
Negligence on the Posture care and appropriate use of Orthosis can have significant impact hampering the development.
It becomes critical to combine posture care, rationalised use of aids and appliances along with hands on therapy skills to get the best outcomes in long term management.

Spatial awareness is the ability to understand your body's position and relationship to objects in your surroundings, allowing you to navigate and interact with your environment effectively and safely. It encompasses recognizing where objects are, their sizes and shapes, and how to move around them without bumping into them.
Many individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) experience challenges with spatial awareness, leading to difficulties with activities like navigation, body coordination, personal space, and understanding spatial-social cues.

I have been practicing in field of Physiotherapy since 2009 and built up my work following every standard of ethics and maintaining professional decorum. In span of these years I have had clients across India and globe and have always supported and advocated my approach and the commitment has always been top notch until a day came in October 2021 where my ethics and standards was put in question. Some people tried to mal-align my reputation, tarnish my image and my career was in stake. And since then I was in the darkest phase of my life with absolutely no hope to return back to clinical work.
Myself, my wife, my families suffered hugely financially, socially emotionally and in every aspect of their life. The legal battle had started in REAL !!!!
I felt every bit of my life was breaking into pieces in dark of endless loop hopelessness, but I was wrong....It was Yagyaseni Sahani who was courageously picking up the pieces and putting it back in place bringing me to life. Handling finances, her comittment towards work, legal expenses, attending every hearing dates, taking care of both families, remaining sane in the most unimaginable situation, sleeping late nights, with no shoulder to hold on, she fought the battle single handedly like a queen who was fierce and fearless and only and only destined to win even if it means fighting the whole world for me. She always gave hope and promised to stay next to me till we fight out the battle.
Special thanks to Mr. Vinod who was instrumental in streamlining our line of defense and our advocate Mr. Khan and Mr. Gaurav and his team who roared and fought like a tiger in every court hearings putting the missing pieces of puzzle and bringing out the truth and destroying every bit of the allegations. Thank you Pushpa Moghul, Priyanka Legha and Mrinali Majumdar for your constant emotional support to us.
It took 1394 days to dislodge the allegations from very root of it and prove our innocence and as always said no matter how much you try to bend the truth, it is the truth which prevails and always wins !
SATYAMEV JAYATE !!!

The Spinal Gallant Reflex (SG) crosses many boundaries. It is important in both the settling of the Grasping Reflexes and during the birthing process. This is why Hemispheres call it the Facilitating Reflex.

Spinal Gallant is thought to play an active role in the birth process. It helps the baby wriggle down the birth canal: this ‘wriggle’ type movement involves a side bend of the lower body following light touch on one side of the spine. Children born by Caesarean Section or where suction has been used do not get the chance to wriggle down the birth canal in this manner, often inhibiting the emergence of this reflex.

The ‘wriggle’ motion of the Spinal Gallant works in tandem with a similar movement seen in the Amphibian Reflex. Together they produce isolation of movement in the pelvis and legs. You often see these movements in babies during tummy time.

In older children a persistent Spinal Gallant can be elicited by light touch to the lower back. This can result in hypersensitivity to clothing, difficulty with concentration, fidgeting, and in those children that have tried to compensate, stiffness or restricted movement in the lower back. Hypersensitivity to touch in this area can result in poor bladder control for some children, particularly at night, when the Spinal Gallant is stimulated on both sides of the body by the bed sheets.

THE SPINAL GALLANT REFLEX - Tactile Sensitivity, Concentration And Bladder Control
A persistent Spinal Gallant Reflex may lead to:

Continued bed-wetting.
Clumsiness and reduced co-ordination of the upper and lower body.
Fidgeting: it is difficult to sit still and the child wriggles about and changes body position often.
Over sensitivity in the lower back area.
Sensory sensitivity to tight clothing, especially trousers.
Difficulty with attention and concentration.
Difficulty in crowds.
Uncomfortable in social situations.
The Spinal Gallant reflex facilitates the full integration and settlement of the reflexes in the hands and feet.

The Landau reflex is vital for developing muscle tone, coordination, and balance in infants, enabling them to lift their head and chest in a prone position. Its proper integration is a key developmental milestone, paving the way for more complex motor skills like running and cycling. A retained Landau reflex, meaning it doesn't disappear by around 12 months, can indicate underlying motor or neurological issues, leading to various problems in a child like :
Poor concentration
Poor focus
Tension in back of legs
Toe-walking
Poor organizational skills
Poor muscle coordination between upper body and lower body.
