IT IS OKAY NOT TO BE POSITIVE ALWAYS!

Toxic positivity can make lung cancer patients feel unheard and invalidated, as it pushes them to "stay positive" even when they're struggling. It's important to acknowledge their pain and emotions instead of dismissing them with forced optimism.

"I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2020. Aside of medicines, with consistent yoga and mindful eating for 6 months, I have managed to become much better. In late 2021, I went on a bike ride to Chandratal (14300 ft) along with other riders. Despite the lung cancer, yoga and mindful eating had helped me to get to such a high altitude area."- Rishi Maheshwari
