🌿 **Diabetes is not always about food or exercise. Sometimes, it’s about your mind.** 🌿
Meet **Sumeet**, one of my patients who has lived with diabetes for over 20 years. Strong family history. Used to have fasting sugar levels above 200 mg/dL. No exercise, no routine.
Then, a job transfer changed everything.
Alone in a new city, he began walking from office to home daily. That turned into running 10 km a day. His sugars normalized. He felt energized, light, and in control.
But then came **career stress**—and despite daily running, his sugar levels started rising again.
💡 More running didn’t help. Less food didn’t help.
His medications increased. Insulin was the next step.
That’s when we changed the approach.
We replaced intense running with **daily yoga sessions**, calming his body and mind. Within **15 days**, his sugars started improving. After **2 months**, his levels stabilized. After **6 months**, we stopped one medicine completely.
Today—**2 years later**—Sumeet is off insulin, stress-free, and in balance.
🔑 **Moral?**
Stress can silently raise your sugar—even if your diet and exercise are “perfect.”
Don’t ignore your mental load. Talk to a doctor who listens. Healing starts when we treat the *whole person*, not just the disease.
