That hot chips + coffee combo might taste like a treat, but your ulcer definitely disagrees.

Spicy, fried, crunchy snacks and coffee quietly poke at your stomach lining, slowing healing and fueling that burning sensation.

Your ulcer is trying to recover, it deserves warm, soft, gentle foods that actually help it heal. Stop attacking your stomach and let it do its job.

Did you know your metabolism doesn’t stop working, it simply changes with age.

What felt easy in your 20’s needs a smarter approach in your 40’s due to muscle loss, hormonal shifts, stress, and slower recovery.

This is why weight gain isn’t about willpower, but about understanding your body better. With the right nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle tweaks, metabolism can be supported effectively at any age.

If you’ve been struggling despite trying hard, it’s time to change the strategy, not blame yourself.

After weight-loss surgery, every sip counts.

Your stomach is smaller, so protein shakes, smoothies, and other liquid calories aren’t just drinks, they’re tools to help your body heal, retain muscle, and stay energized.

Choose wisely: smooth, high-protein liquids support your goals, while sugary, high-calorie drinks can undo all the progress. Liquids matter more than ever after surgery, make them work for you.

Spicy food trends come and go, but your gut has to deal with the aftermath.

What looks like a harmless challenge on screen can quietly irritate your digestive system, especially if you already struggle with acidity, bloating, or reflux.

Enjoy spice if you truly tolerate it, but never confuse viral bravery with good health. Your stomach doesn’t care about views or likes, only balance.

Choosing a new healthy you isn’t about missing out, it’s about learning how to celebrate festivals, in ways that support your body.

Balance always allows happiness and joy to last longer than the festival itself.

That sudden, burning belly pain years after a bypass? It’s not something to shrug off.

When the body changes after massive weight loss, even the tiniest internal shifts can create big trouble and your bowel slipping into the wrong space is one of them.

These symptoms can play hide-and-seek, but the danger doesn’t. Sharp pain, nausea, bloating, or on-and-off discomfort after bypass always deserve attention.

Your body whispers before it screams- listen early, act fast, and stay safe.

That icy, creamy Frappuccino might look innocent, but after bariatric surgery, it can hit your system in all the wrong ways.

Your stomach works differently now, it needs real nourishment, not sugary blends that slip in calories fast and leave your body struggling to keep up.
These drinks can make you feel full without feeding you, drain your energy, and even trigger discomfort because your system is still adjusting.
Small choices make a big difference after surgery, and choosing hydration over heavy liquids can keep your progress steady and your gut happier.

Ever notice your stomach acting up right before exams? 😣

That bloating isn’t random, it’s stress speaking through your gut.
The brain–gut connection is powerful, and anxiety can slow digestion, trap gas, and make your belly feel uncomfortable.

So relax, your body is reacting, not malfunctioning.

✅ Started the academic year with a bang at the 54th Annual Mogs HQ conference with a debate on conservative or radical surgery for Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis. As a GI surgeon debating with a Gynecologist at a gynaecology meeting with an audience full of gynaecologists, is a different ball game altogether.
➡️ It was a great discussion with solid participation from the audience and chair alike. I got the opportunity to hear a couple of great talks and orations by Gynecologists. A very well organised conference with great content, amazing participation and full halls on both days right until the end.
🤝 Thank you MOGS president Dr. Rajendra Sankpal and Dr Kedar Ganla for this kind invitation.
It was also a pleasure catching up with old friends and batchmates !
