Techniques include external beam radiation, where radiation is delivered from outside the body, and brachytherapy, which places radioactive sources inside the breast tissue. Treatment typically spans several weeks, with sessions five days a week. Advances in radiotherapy aim to minimize damage to surrounding healthy tissue while effectively treating the cancer.
