Sheila donated Rs.5000 to PM/ CM Relief Fund.
On the other hand, Paandu bought a whisky bottle worth Rs 5000/-.

The question is who contributed more?

01. On the Rs 5000 Sheila donated, she got a 30% tax rebate. Therefore, she actually landed up earning back Rs 1500/-. In other words, by donating Rs 5000 she made a net contribution of just Rs 3500/-.

02. On Alcohol, the total taxes (excise and GST) added up to approximately 72% of the MRP. So when Paandu paid Rs 5000,/-, Rs 3600/- went to the state exchequer...
..and 12.5 pegs of pleasure from a 750 ml whisky bottle 🍷🍷.

Therefore, not only did Paandu contribute more, he created jobs at the Distillery, their suppliers of labels, bottles, caps, machinery etc., jobs at the Marketing Company, jobs at the Wine Shop and moreover he was in high spirits doing so,
... while Sheila doesn't even know where her money went !!

Think of it...
Next time, Buy a Bottle of Whisky ‘you’ serve your Nation !!!

થોડું હસો

ગઈકાલે એક નવા નંબર પરથી ફોન આવ્યો.

મેં ફોન ઉપાડ્યો અને કહ્યું : હા, કહો.

સામેથી કોઈ સ્ત્રી ગુસ્સામાં બોલી : સવારે નાસ્તો કર્યા વગર ઓફિસ કેમ ગયા?

કેટલી વાર કહ્યું છે કે રાતના ઝગડાને સવારમાં ભૂલી જવા, પણ તમે સમજતા કેમ નથી.

આજે તમે ઘરે આવો પછી સારી રીતે તમારી ખબર લઉં છું.

હું સ્પષ્ટ કહું છું કે, જો મને બાળકોની ચિંતા ન હોત તો ક્યારનીય તમારાથી દૂર જતી રહી હોત.

તે સ્ત્રી ગમે તેમ બોલી રહી હતી અને હું આશ્ચર્ય ચકિત થઈને વિચારી રહ્યો હતો કે આ નિર્દોષ સ્ત્રી કોણ છે જે મને પોતાનો પતિ માનીને મારો ક્લાસ લઈ રહી છે.

અને મારે તો દૂર દૂર સુધીનું સગાઇના પણ કોઈ સંકેત દેખાતા નથી.

જ્યારે તે સ્ત્રીએ બોલવાનું બંધ કર્યું ત્યારે મેં કહ્યું : શ્રીમતી, તમે કદાચ ખોટા નંબર પર ક્લાસ લઇ લીધો. પણ હું તમારો આભારી છું કે મારા લગ્ન થયા ન હોવા છતાં તમે થોડી વાર માટે મને પરણેલા હોવાનો અનુભવ કરાવ્યો.

પછી તે સ્ત્રીએ કહ્યુ : મારા લગ્ન પણ હજી બાકી જ છે. હમણાં જ મારા લગ્ન નક્કી થયા છે, તો મારી ભાભીએ કહ્યું કે તું કોઈપણ નંબર ડાયલ કર અને તેને ખંખેરી નાખ.

તેનાથી પ્રેક્ટિસ પણ થશે અને હૃદયને સંતોષ પણ મળશે. 😃😜 😀 😆
