With the advent of modern day assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF and ICSI, it is now possible for most infertile couples to have a child. Contrary to popular myths and beliefs, these therapies are simple and successful. At the Mumbai Fertility Clinic & IVF Centre, we provide state-of-the-art IVF & ICSI procedures in a comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. On par with international standards, we provide all facilities for diagnosis of infertility such as Transvaginal ultrasonography, operative laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, hormone estimations and semen analysis as well as the entire range of ART including IVF, ICSI, Assisted hatching, embryo freezing, egg donation, s***m donation, embryo donation, intrauterine insemination (IUI) and blastocyst transfer. On the horizon are the techniques of IVM - in vitro maturation of oocytes, PGD and FISH technique relating to genetic disorders and embryonic stem cell cultures. Dr Jatin P Shah and his team of expert gynecologists, endoscopists and embryologists has been performing IVF & ICSI very successfully since the past 17 years, having in the process helped more than 5000 patients to have IVF & ICSI babies. Besides, they have to their credit countless pregnancies through simpler methods such as Intrauterine insemination. In the year 2009 alone, the clinic had 540 take home livebirths through IVF & ICSI, of which 166 were twin pregnancies giving a total of 706 babies. The Mumbai Fertility Clinic & IVF Centre is based in south Mumbai, easily accessible from the airport and western and central train terminuses. The team has also successfully helped establish IVF & ICSI programs in other cities of India at Agra, Cochin, Madurai, Erode, Chennai and Pune. Dr Jatin P Shah has the unique distinction of being able to perform all IVF tasks including ultrasonography, oocyte retrieval surgery, IVF embryology and embryo transfer single handedly and this is probably the reason for the exceptionally high success rates. His ability to trouble shoot for problems in IVF & ICSI programs in different laboratories has earned him the nickname of "IVF Commando". The Mumbai Fertility Clinic & IVF Centre currently performs close to 1500 IVF & ICSI cycles per year. Their success rates have been consistent in the range of 35 - 45% clinical pregnancy rates per Embryo transfer with take home baby rates in the range of 30%. Our success rates are among the highest in the country, our group is recognized as the premier ART team of the country and we believe in stress free and user friendly treatment for the infertile couple. The clinic is known for simplified IVF treatment with very few clinic visits, the barest minimum of blood tests and friendly and supportive staff which helps the patient to cope with the physical and emotional stress of treatment. Also, all facilities such as Ultrasound, blood tests for hormones, surgery for oocyte retrieval, endoscopy, embryo culture and transfer, cryofreezing of gametes and embryos, etc are available under the same roof. One of the greatest assets of the clinic is its supportive secretarial, nursing and ancillary staff. Most staff members have been associated with the clinic since its inception as a result of which they are all very well tuned with the intricacies of these treatments. They particularly make it a point to give continual moral and emotional support to the stressed couples.

Fresh vs Frozen Embryo Transfer is not about which is “better,” but which is appropriate for your cycle.

Hormonal changes during stimulation may affect endometrial receptivity in some IVF cycles. A frozen embryo transfer allows transfer in a later cycle after hormone levels stabilise and may also help reduce the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation or allow genetic testing when indicated.

The choice depends on ovarian response, endometrial thickness, progesterone levels, and overall patient readiness. Treatment planning should remain individualised.

📌 If you are unsure which embryo transfer option may be suitable, consult a qualified fertility specialist or reproductive medicine expert near you for personalised evaluation.

In fertility care, timing often matters more than people realise.⏳

Some couples choose to review their approach after a period of trying, whether that involves postponing evaluation, assessing only one partner, or continuing the same treatment plan without reassessment. Fertility is influenced by age, medical history, and other clinical factors, so periodic review may support clearer and more informed decision-making.

IVF is one of several medical options. It is not automatically the first step, nor always the final one. The appropriate path depends on individual circumstances and proper medical evaluation.

The focus is not to rush, but to understand choices early enough to decide thoughtfully.

📌If you feel uncertain about your next step, consulting a registered medical practitioner trained in reproductive medicine may help clarify appropriate options.

PCOS doesn’t follow one pattern and that’s why many women miss the early signs.

Symptoms can appear differently in the teenage years, during the 20s, or later in the 30s. Irregular cycles, skin changes, fatigue, insulin resistance, fertility concerns, or metabolic shifts may evolve over time.

PCOS is not defined by weight alone, and its long-term impact can extend beyond periods or fertility.

Awareness across age groups supports earlier evaluation and informed health decisions.

📌 If you notice persistent menstrual, hormonal, or metabolic changes, consulting a qualified medical practitioner may be helpful.

Low AMH can be confusing and emotionally overwhelming—but it’s only one part of a much bigger fertility picture.

AMH helps doctors understand ovarian reserve, but it does not on its own determine fertility, egg quality, or pregnancy outcomes. Many other factors are considered when planning fertility care, including age, overall health, cycle regularity, and individual medical history.

If you’ve been told you have low AMH, a personalized evaluation with a fertility specialist can help clarify what it means for you and guide appropriate next steps.

Fertility journeys can be complex, and for many individuals or couples, the process may involve multiple stages of evaluation and decision-making🧬

Some may require more than one consultation or treatment cycle before the next step becomes clear. Assisted reproductive treatments, including IVF, can involve medical, emotional, and time considerations that vary for each person.

Taking time to understand options, revisit choices, or pause between steps is often part of informed fertility planning.

📌 If you have questions about fertility evaluation, IVF, or reproductive health, consider consulting a qualified fertility specialist or doctor near you for personalised guidance.
