In my practice, I get asked about creatine every single day!

🗣️It’s the supplement everyone’s talking about: for muscle gains. BUT did you know? It seems to help for cognition and longevity too! I even prescribe it to many of my menopausal patients with brain bog etc .

❓But is it really for everyone? What about side-effects, timing and dosage? What can you do to increase its efficacy and reduce its side effects?

In my practice, I often remind patients that the body whispers long before it shouts.
Fatigue after sleeping, sugar cravings, brain fog - these aren’t random symptoms! 🧬 They’re early biochemical clues that something deeper needs attention.

I see these patterns every day: nutrient deficiencies, hormonal shifts, gut imbalance or stress that’s gone unchecked.
🔎 When you decode the signals early, you prevent the disease before it develops.
That’s real functional medicine, reading between the lines before the labs turn red.

Everyone’s talking about gut health - but which trends actually work?
From magnesium and zinc supplements to psyllium husk before meals, fermented foods and microbiome stool tests -gut health has become the latest wellness obsession.

But here’s the truth: not every trend is backed by science.
✅ Some, like fiber-first meals, fermented foods and time-restricted eating, genuinely support gut diversity.

⚠️ Others -like coffee enemas or random supplement stacking -may be a waste and even do more harm than good .

Your gut deserves more than guesswork - it needs evidence-based care.

The festive season is here ✨
And let’s be honest, most of us -yes, me included, indulge in a some dessert during celebrations!

Let me show you to how to enjoy your favourite mithai or any dessert without the sugar crash or sudden weight spike!

1️⃣ Don’t eat dessert on its own.
Always have it AFTER a meal - never as a stand-alone snack. Specially- Pairing it with protein, fibre & fat slows glucose absorption.

2️⃣ Start your meal smart.
Eat veggies and protein first! Fibre & amino acids coat the gut lining and slow down absorption of sugary desserts.

3️⃣ Choose better sweets.
Skip pure-sugar options like jalebi or sorbet. Pick desserts with some protein or fat content (rasgulla, Nut-based mithai,like kaju Kathi or besan laddoos ) they raise glucose levels slower & keep you full for longer.

Enjoy the sweetness, not its side effects!
So -enjoy the festive eating without letting it derail you from your health goals!

This Diwali, if you’re choosing to drink, do it smart! 🪔
I say this to my patients often, small tweaks can reduce the aftermath on your body. Here’s the Party Protocol to follow:

PRE: Line your gut with protein & fats-it slows alcohol absorption. DURING: Hydrate (1 glass water per drink) helps reduce dehydration & next-day fatigue.
Stick to lighter spirits (vodka, gin), lower congeners = ie fewer toxic by-products & milder hangovers!
POST: Sleep well! alcohol disrupts REM, so prioritise recovery the next day.

I say this to my patients often, The best kind of alcohol consumption is NONE. Alcohol impacts your liver, gut, hormones & sleep quality more than you think.
But if you going to drink,do what it right and your body will thank you for it.
Please drink responsibly, protect your health & have a happy Diwali! ✨

There’s so much noise online about menopausal protocols to follow and let’s be honest, not all of it is helpful! Specially with so many celebs and influencers talking about it 🙈

In my practice, I focus on what actually moves the needle for women late 30s and above. From strength training to hormone support to supplementation - some trends hold up, others don’t.
I’ve rated the ‘trends’ based on My clinical experience of dealing with hundreds of peri-menopausal women which is rooted in science.

Remember -menopause isn’t one-size-fits-all. Your protocol needs to match your biology.
