Supplement timing can change everything. ⏳

It’s not just what you take… it’s when you take it that determines how well your body absorbs it.

Small tweaks in timing = better absorption = better results 💯

From magnesium at night 🌙 to iron on an empty stomach 🍊 — these simple shifts can make your supplements actually work for you, not just sit in your routine.

Save this guide 📌 and start optimizing your health, one habit at a time.

Perimenopause isn’t just hormonal.

It’s metabolic.

What actually shifts is:

– Muscle mass

– Metabolic flexibility

– Insulin sensitivity

– Bone turnover

And this is why you start noticing:

Fatigue. Weight gain. Poor sleep. Mood changes.

Not because your body is “failing” —

but because its requirements have changed.

One of the biggest overlooked facts:

Muscle loss can accelerate by 3–8% per decade after 30.

Which means:

👉 Lower metabolism

👉 Higher insulin resistance

👉 Faster fat gain

This is why nutrition needs to shift from:

“eating less” → to eating strategically

Focus on:

✔️ Adequate protein

✔️ Micronutrient sufficiency

✔️ Stable blood sugar

✔️ Preserving muscle

Because if you don’t support your body in this phase,

it will show up as symptoms long before disease.

Save this. You’ll need it sooner than you think😊

Most people I see in clinic are already dehydrated…
they just don’t know it yet.

Try this 3-second test at home 👇
Pinch the skin on the back of your hand.
If it doesn’t snap back instantly…
👉 your body is already behind on hydration.

And here’s what surprises most people:
Dehydration doesn’t just mean “feeling thirsty.”

It shows up as:
• Fatigue you can’t explain
• Afternoon headaches
• Brain fog
• Even sugar cravings

I see this every single day in practice.

💧 And no—just “drinking more water” isn’t enough.

To hydrate properly:
✔️ Add electrolytes (not just plain water)
✔️ Use coconut water strategically
✔️ Cut excess caffeine & sugary drinks

Because hydration is not intake…
it’s absorption.

Fix this, and you’ll notice:
Better energy. Clearer thinking. Healthier skin.

Don’t wait for your body to shout.
It always whispers first.

You heard it here 1st!

The latest American heart association -AHA/ACC dyslipidemias guidelines have dropped last week!

According to it, people aren’t treating cholesterol wrong…they’re just treating it too late.

The new shift according to them is this :

👉 Start earlier

👉 Aim lower

👉 Act more aggressively

My take home from the guidelines is this-

This is no longer about “normal reports.”

It’s about preventing the first event.-and I fully agree! That’s what we practice for over a decade with our patients .

They have also said if you have a strong family history or risk factors you should test the following- which also my patients have been doing, anyways! 💪

It says-

If you’re over 30 and haven’t checked ApoB or Lp(a), you’re missing the real risk.

So what do you think of the above recommendations? Where do you stand with these numbers?

And have you tested your lip (a) and apo(b)??

Supplements can support hormones.

But ,as a doctor ,I see every day how they can also cause hormonal imbalance.

Some examples patients don’t realize:

•Excess vitamin D may affect calcium balance and parathyroid hormones

• High doses of biotin can interfere with thyroid blood tests and give misleading results

• Some adaptogens may influence cortisol and adrenal signaling

• Certain herbal supplements can alter estrogen or androgen pathways

• Large doses of iodine may aggravate thyroid dysfunction in susceptible .

Adding supplements without understanding the root cause and its various interactions can sometimes create more imbalance rather than less.

Have you experienced any of these interactions? Do you want me to cover more supplements interactions? Let me know in the comments below 👇

Normal glucose does NOT mean normal metabolism.

In fact, glucose is often the last marker to be out of range!

These blood tests can reveal early insulin resistance years before diabetes develops:

1️⃣ Fasting insulin
2️⃣ HOMA-IR
3️⃣ TG/HDL ratio
4️⃣ ALT
5️⃣ Uric acid
6️⃣ hs-CRP
7️⃣ Ferritin

Think of them as early warning signals for metabolic dysfunction.

The earlier you detect insulin resistance, the easier it is to reverse it through nutrition, lifestyle and metabolic therapy.
Have you done these tests? Do you know if you are insulin resistant? Let me know in the comments below 👇
