"Should I just focus on my MDS prep or spend more time in clinics during internship?"

Honestly, the answer isn’t one or the other — it’s both.
Dentistry is one of those fields where your mind and your hands work together.
You need sharp clinical judgment as much as you need solid concepts.
Balance them well, and you’ll step into the real world of dentistry with confidence, not confusion.

To every dental intern wondering — ‘Should I study for MDS or spend more time in clinics?’
My answer will always be — do both.
Your books will give you knowledge, your clinic will give you skill, and your balance will give you growth.
The more you practice managing your time now, the easier your journey will be later — whether you choose clinical practice or postgraduation.
Balance is not about doing everything perfectly; it’s about learning how to give your best to both sides. 🌿✨

Two recent suicides by dental students — one from Sharada College and one from Pacific College — shook all of us.
I just want to say this to every dental student watching — never hesitate to take help.
Never hesitate to express what you’re going through. The more you share, the easier it becomes to sail through tough times. 💛
Let’s normalize talking about mental health in dentistry too.

And my answer is always the same — No, it’s not.
If you’re good at your work, good with people, and keep upgrading yourself… you’ll go way ahead.
