After all, if you are doing something for every single day of your life, just that routine empowers you to be a specialist in the field. So I like to think of my self as a super-specialist where specialists go for a second opinion! After a sabbatical of nearly 15 years I'm back to my field of education - Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics. When I completed my Masters and got my RD (Registered Dietiti
an) certification, I was backed by my intensive knowledge in the field. Today I have the added advantage of 15 years of life altering experiences- marriage, pregnancies, motherhood and other myriad occurrences that give you a more wholesome perspective of life. As I stand at this threshold, I see a vast sea of nutritional knowledge which definitely requires navigation by an expert in the field. Everyday we are bombarded with information on what trend to follow to lose weight in just a couple of days or how the incorporation of a particular food will radically change your health. While following these trends one must remember that one man's meat is another man's poison. (With the meat ban, this age-old proverb has taken on a completely new connotation, but thats a topic for another day!) One cannot blindly follow a diet which might have worked for your friend's neighbour's sister! Thats where I glide in with my cape that has an N pinned on it to rescue my readers and rise above the nutritional turmoil - a la SuperNutritionLady
