🥊✨ Earlier this week, I had the privilege of speaking to the young boxers at the Mary Kom Regional Boxing Foundation, Imphal, thanks to the initiative by GoSports Foundation.
Surrounded by 65 athletes (ages 11–22), in a space built by one of India’s most iconic champions, we explored what nutrition really means:
🍎 Why food is fuel
⚡ How growth impacts performance
🥗 What to eat before, during & after training
💧 Recovery as the secret weapon for success
To make it fun, we wrapped up with an interactive food activity where athletes built their own “performance plates.” But the true highlight? A 45-minute Q&A where these young champs blew everyone away with their curiosity, questions, and hunger to learn.
It reminded me that nutrition education isn’t just about diets or rules—it’s about awareness, empowerment, and building a culture where performance + health go hand in hand.
