Research shows that ACL injury rates in female athletes spike during adolescence, especially in the mid-to-late teen years. This is due to the divergence in physical development between boys and girls during puberty; placing young female athletes at a higher risk of ACL ruptures post-puberty.

⏺️ Studies suggest that early intervention, before or during early adolescence, can significantly reduce injury risk.
⏺️ Neuromuscular Training (NMT) during these years enhances movement control, balance, strength, and biomechanics.
⏺️ Key components like plyometrics, dynamic stabilization, and feedback on form are most effective when introduced early.
⏺️ Proper supervision and qualified physiotherapy-led guidance are essential to ensure safe and skillful movement patterns in growing athletes.
