Young mischievous kid 8 yrs had a fall and fractured his two centrals a month back. Complained of some pain in the lower lip a month later. On examination the lower lip had healed with an apparent fibrous patch. A simple rvg revealed a foreign body embedded within. Minor procedure to explore found a tooth fragment within. Excised, treated and finally bonded back in place. Until he gets back to his playful antics!!

There’s something to be said about quick fix dentistry and gullibility of patients. A patient required replacement of a single anterior tooth in each arch. Rather than trusting your dentist to do the best.. they chose the neighbourhood quack who fixed a tooth with cold cure in each jaw. Few months passed and the stench emanating from the mouth motivated them to get a consultation. The damage was long lasting and permanent. Finally every single tooth had to be extracted and replaced with a full arch implant prosthesis..
For lack of a nail the shoe was lost .. and all that🙁

Amazing day spent discussing the various modalities for sinus modifications for dental implants at the fantastic campus. This was part of their professor of practice initiative to disburse clinical knowledge in an academic setting. The lecture was followed by a live surgery demonstration.
