What Will You Learn in this workshop?
Day 1
Module 01: MUST- HAVE COUNSELLING SKILLS
Everyone who learns psychology doesn't become a successful therapist. Day one, you will learn about what are the skills that you must have to be an effective counsellor.
Module 02: FIRST & LAST STEP
How to go about with your first session?
The first session determines whether your client will come back to you in the next session or not. What you need to be doing to have an effective first session will be discussed today.
Records of your session
Next, very important is to keep a record of your session with the client. This will allow you to get clarity, to identify flow in therapy, and to have that information with you handy whenever you need in future.
How to keep a record?
As a counsellor, what forms need to be in place would be discussed on the second day as well. A sample will be shared that would be with you always.
How to get a closure?
Ending of a session could be tough for your client as the attachment and dependency must've grown. Learn techniques and ideas to do the same.
Widely Used Psycho-Therapies
As a counsellor, one needs to be aware of different psychotherapies that exist in the mental world.
The following days will take you through different psychotherapies and the concepts attached to it.
Module 03: COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people's difficulties, and so change the way they feel.
Module 04: ART BASED THERAPY
Art Based Therapy (ABT) involves a creative process to improve one's own mental health and well being. It works subtly on the mind and behavior of an individual. This technique has worked with different population like children, teenagers, mothers, stressed people, PTSD, substance abuse and many more. The goal of this therapy is self- expression. We will be exploring different techniques one can use on self and clients.
Day 02
Module 05: PSYCHOANALYSIS
Psychoanalysis as a therapy is given by Sigmund Freud which focuses majorly on the working on the unconscious mind. Here you will be introduced to different methods, theoretical concepts of Freudian theory. It is an interesting, controversial, and widely used therapy.
Module 06: TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS
Transactional Analysis Therapy is a psychoanalytic theory and method of therapy wherein social transactions are analyzed to determine the ego state of the communication (whether parent-like, childlike or adult-like) as a basis for understanding behavior.
Module 07: POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY INTEGRATED COUNSELLING
This is the need of hour technique. It focuses on happiness, gratitude, hopefulness, and kindness and is applied in education settings and workplaces as well. On this day, we will focus on need for positive psychology and some techniques that could be applied to any client that you come across.
Module 08: CASE STUDIES & ROLE PLAY
Today being the last day of the course, we would have some case study discussion, how to tackle clients, and get some insights through role play.
This course for making yourself better in your field. It'll also make you aware of yourself through the various activities that are going to take place in the course.

As a counseling psychologist, Rishmita is a mental health professional practising for the past 07 years who has specialized training and expertise in helping individuals who are experiencing emotional and psychological distress. Her primary goal is to help her clients improve their mental health and well-being, develop coping strategies for managing stress and difficult emotions, and achieve their personal goals. Also, she loves sharing her knowledge with the world.
Rishmita uses a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques to help her clients. These may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and others. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
