The International Congress of Derm had a very different vibe this time — a little more clinical, a little less glam ✨ Quiet halls and deep conversations on serious skin concerns… but you know what stood out the most? Almost every single topic circled back to the gut and the microbiome 🦠🧠

Clinical and aesthetic dermatology always go hand in hand — one is never complete without the other.
I had the immense honor of lecturing among some of the world’s leading dermatology experts, sharing insights on the latest technologies in skin pigmentation and rejuvenation — with a special focus on how we adapt and optimize treatments for Indian/brown/colored skin tones.
It was a proud and humbling experience to represent and speak on a subject so close to my heart.

And of course, my time in Portugal was unforgettable! 🇵🇹

Many times, I tell myself it’s all about giving back — the lectures, the teaching, the sharing. And then I pause and wonder: am I really doing all this just to give back?

The flights I hop, like this one that almost reached the country before I did… the five back-to-back lectures, the live demos, the constant running between the hospital and the conference hall — it’s intense. But then, what truly keeps me going… is you — the people I meet each time.

The warmth, the love, the laughter, the one-liner wisdom shared with my co-chair during a session, that golden nugget from someone’s talk that lights up my brain… I always return with my heart fuller, my mind richer.

Over the years, I’ve built deep friendships across borders — and now, it feels like one big global family. Simply the joy of belonging — something I’ve read is what the human mind craves the most.

So yes, I may be giving. But I’m also receiving — every single time.
Gratitude and love to the universe that continues to conspire in my favor.

It’s been a journey of over 20 years—each year filled with learning, exploring, and understanding. My field of medicine has been dynamically evolving, not just in its science but also in its acceptance.

“Appearance medicine” may sound superficial, but I know it has a profound impact on people’s lives. 🙌 I realized this as a young intern in the plastic surgery department and have witnessed it countless times throughout my career.

I feel blessed to be where I am, doing what I love most. Whether it leads to success or fortune is not the point—this is what I’d choose to do for life, again and again, every single day. 💖 To bring confidence, smiles, and extend beauty to as many lives as I can—that’s my purpose. ✨😊
