Hearing isn’t enough — understanding sound is what builds speech.

For a child with hearing impairment, the world sounds different than you think… here’s what it feels like:

1. Some sounds are blurry, like listening through water — you know something’s there, but you can’t make out the words.
2. Every new sound needs extra effort… it’s not automatic. Children must learn to decode what hearing children pick up naturally.

3. Background noise feels overwhelming — one voice gets lost inside a hundred sounds.

4. Speech doesn’t appear from ‘hearing’ alone… it grows only when sounds start making sense. And that takes time, support, and patience.

That’s why devices alone aren’t enough — children need Auditory Verbal Therapy to turn sound into speech.
