Flexor Digitorum Profundus (FDP) – The true flexor of the fingers 💪

🔹 Origin: Upper ¾ of ulna & interosseous membrane
🔹 Insertion: Base of distal phalanges
🔹 Action: Flexes distal interphalangeal (DIP) joints
🔹 Nerve supply:
 – Lateral half → Anterior interosseous nerve (Median)
 – Medial half → Ulnar nerve

🔹 Key point: Only muscle causing flexion at the DIP joint!
