There is something magical about the way stories can spark emotions, even in the youngest of hearts.

This picture of three 4-year-olds from one of our sessions at one of our centre , embracing each other with wide smiles and pure joy after listening to a story, encapsulates the beauty of what stories can do!

These children aren’t just sharing a hug—they are celebrating the triumphs and emotions of a beloved character from the story they just listened to. Their connection, not only with each other but also with the character, is a powerful reminder of how storytelling impacts young minds.

Why are stories so powerful?�Stories shape our understanding of the world. For these little ones, listening to a tale brings a sense of empathy, excitement, and wonder.
They don’t just hear words—they experience the highs and lows of the characters, live through their struggles, and celebrate their successes. This emotional journey fosters connection, empathy, and joy.

Biographies are the perfect introduction to nonfiction for young readers—as well as fans of all ages!

Book about Simone Biles—the superstar Olympic athlete who is the most decorated gymnast ever—is an inspiring read-aloud for young children and an inspiring read for young readers!

For adults her story is equally inspiring where she is talking about mental health!

She does say that it is a myth that blindly pushing forward through adversity is always the better choice. It presumes pressing on always produces the better result.

There’s no question. Mental toughness and coachability are important traits for competitive athletes.

But resilience and adaptability and emotional intelligence are also elements of mental toughness—having the strength and courage and self-worth and awareness to change paths or even step away if the path you are on isn’t the most productive.

The narrative needs to change . That’s what she emphasised based on the experiences of her life story!
