*🌺IAP Mumbai* conducted a CPR session for a group of 10 enthusiastic participants at Vaibhav Child Health Clinic, kandivali West

🌺 The session was conducted by Dr Rajesh Kasla and Dr Nita Jagad participant's questions were answered to their satisfaction.

🌺Participants practiced on mannequin and were happy to acquire the skills and offered to extend any help needed and organise at many other places

🌺 The session was co ordinated by Ms Sheetal Thakkar and Dr Nita Jagad on behalf of IAP Mumbai

Happy and proud to be a part of Vyakti vikas course implementation by Rotary and Equipoise to the teenagers of Class 8 in various schools. Children are encouraged to explore their inner potential, understand themselves and be themselves. Not judged.

A session at St Mary's school on Neuroscience of emotions

Vinay ji from Rotary distributed the course books to the kids which is a lifelong treasure to go back and refer to.

We started the class with introduction to neuro science

Then we discussed how the nerve impulses travel in our brain, with the help of coin game and learned about neuroplasticity and strengthening of new useful behaviour and ignoring the not very useful behaviour

We revised the hand model of brain and neuroscience of emotions.

We also discussed about Amygdala hijack with the help of role play and strategies to prevent amygdala hijack. Children were told to think and create their own strategies to manage amygdala hijack

We discussed about delayed gratification and impulse control...also the benefits of practicing delayed gratification

Children instructed to practice breathing, feeling check, feeling fingerprints daily morning with the class monitor.

Children readily participated in the activities

A session at Vidya Niketan school on intrinsic motivation and dealing with procrastination.

We started with what is intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. And did an activity with multiple situations where a concept of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation was made clear and understandable
Discussed children s views on a clip of Iqbal movie

Then played a win win game, which children could break the ice and played successfully. Was extremely happy that they were creative and found their own solution

Then we did the activity of active listening and children understood what is active listening. And their postures changed for only a little while 😃

We discussed strategies to deal with procrastination in brief

Lastly ended with 4-7-8 breathing.

Dear Parents
12th October sunday is a pulse polio day. Please direct all your patient's kids (age newborn to 5 yrs) to give polio drops at the nearest Booth. It should be given even if their regular vaccination is up to date. This is a National program, let's all participate.
