Transforming frowns into radiant smiles one tooth at a time!!!
A 45-year-old female came to the clinic with a chief complaint of sensitivity, discoloured teeth and a flat appearing smile..
After a thorough planning and reprogramming a digital mock-up was done and tooth preparation was carried out.
Patient was provided with provisional restoration for a period of 1 1/2 month. Necessary occlusal adjustments where carried out during the provisional restoration period.
Treatment plan involved premium zirconia crowns irt 13-23, 33-43 and dmls crowns irt 34-37

Supra gingival finish lines were preferred in the posteriors to allow better maintenance.
Incisal guidance and canine guidance was included in the prosthesis design.
Same protocol followed as per previous cases steps followed -
1- deprogramming for 1 week
2- intraoral pre op scan with raised bite
3 - digital fmr design mock-up
4- test drive
5- tooth preparation
6- immediate provisional restorations
7- delayed heat cure provisionals (2 months)
8- Intra oral scan for definitive prosthesis (provisionals were used as guides to record VD and centric relation.
9- pmma trial (pre final - I prefer doing this step in every case before bisque trial for occlusal evaluation)
10- bisque trial and occlusal calibration
11- excursive guidance evaluation
12-cementation
13- soft silicone occlusal guard
15- 6 months recall

Oral prophylaxis (scaling) is an imperative procedure to be included in your semi-annual check up routine.

•Habits such as smoking, to***co chewing, excessive coffee and tea drinking and poor oral hygiene can cause stains that need to be addressed.
•In some cases certain medications such as iron supplements and chlorhexidine mouth rinses can also cause staining of teeth.
•Certain chromogenic bacteria are also notorious in producing typical black stains, which are recurrent, till the cause of staining isn't suppressed or eliminated.
