हॉटेलच्या मेनूवर नजर फिरवताना बहुतेकांना एक उत्सुकता असते..... पनीर असलेल्या पदार्थांना तर आपण लगेचच ओळखतो. पनीर टिक्का सारखे पदार्थ तर आपल्याला आवडीचेच असतात. हा शाकाहारी लोकांसाठी तर खूपच चांगला पर्याय असतो असे बहुतेकांना वाटते . पण आपण कधी विचार केला आहे का की, पनीरबद्दल आपल्याला असलेलं हे प्रेम खरोखरच निरोगी आहे का?



आयुर्वेद या प्राचीन भारतीय वैद्यकशास्त्राने याबाबत काही प्रश्न उपस्थित केले आहेत. दुध, दही आणि तुप यांच्या गुणांचे आयुर्वेदात भरपूर कौतुक केले आहे, पण पनीराबद्दल मात्र काहीही सांगितलेलं नाही. या पनीर मध्ये काहीतरी रहस्य असू शकते का?



आधुनिक चिकित्सा विज्ञान आणि संशोधनाने या संशयाला बळ दिले आहे. संशोधनांनुसार पनीरातील प्रथिने (प्रोटीन) पचायला कठीण असते, ज्यामुळे पोटाच्या आजार होऊ शकतात. विशेषतः रस्त्यावरील पदार्थ विकणाऱ्यांच्या ठिकाणी मिळणारे पनीर गुणवत्तेच्या बाबतीत निकृष्ट असु शकतं . स्वस्त दरात मिळणारे हे पनीर कदाचित खोटे किंवा हानिकारक घटकांचा बनवलेला असू शकतो.



शक्य असल्यास पनीर वर्ज्य करायला हवे .... आणि जर मनावरचा ताबा सुटला अँड पनीर खाण्याची प्रबळ इच्छा झालीच तर निदान खालील गोष्टी लक्षात ठेवा:



पनीर कुठून आला आहे ते विचारून बघा. जर किंमत खूपच कमी वाटली तर अति सावध राहा.

खरा पनीर मऊ आणि चुरगळीत असतो. जर तो रबरी वाटला किंवा चव विचित्र वाटली तर तो टाळा .

पनीर योग्य प्रमाणात खा. संतुलित आहार घ्या.

We all love to scan a restaurant menu, eagerly searching for that perfect dish. Often, our eyes are drawn to the tempting options featuring paneer, like a creamy paneer tikka masala. It's a vegetarian favorite, a comforting and flavorful meal. But have you ever wondered if our love for paneer is truly healthy?

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian healing system, presents an interesting perspective. While it praises milk, yogurt, and clarified butter (ghee) for their health benefits, paneer is curiously absent. Could there be a hidden side to this popular cheese?

Modern research adds to the puzzle. Studies suggest that paneer's protein can be difficult to digest, potentially causing stomach problems. There's also growing worry about the quality of paneer available, especially in street food. With suspiciously low prices, these dishes might contain fake or unhealthy paneer.

If you cannot do away with paneer (which I recommend) at least be careful. The next time you crave paneer, consider these points:

Source: When dining out, ask where the paneer comes from. If the price seems too good to be true, it might not be genuine.
Quality: Trust your senses. Real paneer is soft and crumbly. If it feels rubbery or tastes strange, it's best to avoid it.
Balance: Enjoy paneer in moderation as part of a varied and healthy diet.
Many of us undeniably love paneer, but making informed decisions can help us protect our health.
