Dr. Soumyan Dey is Director – Uro-Oncology & Urology at Fortis Hospital, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. He holds an M. Ch in Urology from Grant Medical College & Sir J.J. Hospital and has over 7 years of focused experience in uro-oncology, endo-urology, and female urology. He strongly believes in scientific, evidence-based treatment and follows a philosophy of avoiding overtreatment wherever possible, ensuring ethical and patient-centric care. Dr. Dey has extensive expertise in reconstructive urology, including anastomotic urethroplasty, buccal mucosa urethroplasty, laparoscopic pyeloplasty, and AV fistula variations. He has successfully performed numerous neobladder reconstructions following radical cystectomy for carcinoma bladder. His surgical experience also includes laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for renal cancer and radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer. Additionally, he has performed several hundred PCNL procedures for kidney stones, along with RIRS, URS, and TURP. In female urology, he has treated stress urinary incontinence with TVT procedures and has repaired complex iatrogenic and obstetric vesicovaginal fistulas (VVF) using laparoscopic and transvaginal approaches.
