Why fat accumulates in the body? = Obesity is a symptom of an underlying bodily dysfunction. The built-up fat is linked to overall bodily disharmony arising from disruptions in the natural flow of the body’s energies, known as Qi (vital energy or life force) fundamental to our body’s process & wellbeing. Weight gain is usually due to Qi deficiency in the Spleen& Stomach system. Digestion starts from MOUTH. The Tongue is the only organ that we can examine, by asking patient to show. Observation of Tongue color (should be pink), the coating on the tongue (should be thin & white) and the shape & size of the Tongue reveal clues as to what s occurring in the body.
If you have a swollen tongue with a thick coating on it, then perhaps you suffer from bloating & borborygmus( rumbling tummy caused by internal gas). Then we need to limit or avoid phlegm-producing foods like dairy, wheat & bananas.
