Why your pigmentation keeps getting worse !!!!
(and what to do about it)
If youâve been treating your dark spots for months but theyâre actually getting DARKER, youâre probably making one of these mistakes:
1. Skipping sunscreen on âcloudyâ days
UV rays donât take breaks. Even indirect sun exposure triggers melanin production. Your dark spots are getting a daily dose of exactly what made them appear in the first place.
2. Over-exfoliating to âspeed upâ results
Scrubbing harder doesnât mean faster results. It means inflammation. And inflammation triggers MORE pigmentation. Your skin needs healing, not aggression.
3. Picking or scratching the area
Every time you touch, pick, or scratch hyperpigmented areas, youâre causing micro-trauma. This triggers post-inflammatory hyperpigmentationâmaking spots darker and more stubborn.
4. Using actives without proper guidance
Retinoids, vitamin C, acidsâthey work. But using too many at once or in wrong concentrations causes irritation. Irritated skin = more melanin = darker spots.
5. Expecting results in 2 weeks
Skin cell turnover takes 28 days minimum. Most pigmentation treatments need 8-12 weeks to show real improvement. Patience isnât optional here.
The bottom line:
đPigmentation treatment is a marathon, not a sprint.đ
