đź’ĄPOST PREGNANCY LOWER BACK PAINđź’Ą

Are you struggling with lower back pain since pregnancy and is it still bothering you even in during post Partum?

Well, that is an absolutely normal feeling and you are not alone in this.

Pregnancy releases a hormone called RELAXIN which loosens your muscles, ligaments and joints. Hormones stretch the tissues to their maximum potential to accommodate the growing uterus and the baby. This hormone releases even few months post giving birth. This loosening causes weakness of core and pelvic floor muscles leading the belly to droop and increasing the lower back curvature giving pain and discomfort. Moreover , long sitting hours of breast feeding that too with wrong postures and existing muscle weakness all together aggravates the pain

However you can reconnect your core by indulging into foundational rehabilitation exercises with appropriate understanding and awareness of the movement.

Pilates has a great effect on lower back pain and core stability , postural correction and pelvic floor strengthening.

Do not wait for it to get worsened and seek professional guidance to get rid of the pain and enjoy your motherhood .
