'Aditi Homes’ for the Needy: 9 Houses to be Handed Over
Minister K. Rajan to Inaugurate the Ceremony
Muvattupuzha: Sabine Hospitals and Aditi Charitable Society have turned the dream of homeownership into reality for nine underprivileged families. The key handover ceremony of the nine modern homes will be held on July 13 at 6 PM, and will be inaugurated by Revenue Minister K. Rajan.
The ceremony will take place in the premises of Sabine Hospital, with MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan presiding over the function. Prominent personalities including Muslim League State President Panakkad Syed Sadiq ali Shihab Thangal, MP Dean Kuriakose, Kerala Bank President Gopi Kottamurikkal, and former MLAs Eldho Abraham, Joseph Vazhakkan, Babu Paul, and Johnny Nelloor will address the gathering.
Named ‘Aditi Homes’, the project includes 9 identical houses built on a scenic 35-cent plot. Each house, with a built-up area of 550 square feet, is equipped with modern amenities including two attached bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and all other necessary facilities, according to Dr. Sabine Sivadasan, Managing Director of Sabine Hospitals.
Applicants from Payipra Panchayat and surrounding areas were shortlisted through a selection committee formed with the cooperation of the panchayat and representatives from social and cultural sectors. Based on the committee’s recommendation, 9 deserving families were selected.
The key handover ceremony is being organized in memory of P.N. Sivadasan, the late father of Dr. Sabine Sivadasan and Chairman & Managing Director of Sabine Hospitals, on his 18th death anniversary. Dr. Sabine Sivadasan also announced that this initiative is part of a larger plan to donate 100 houses free of cost, and that this handover marks the first phase of the project.
