Today, I pause, not to announce an achievement, but to acknowledge a journey.
In 2013, I started Mysore Ayurveda Academy and Wellness Centre by teaching Ayurveda to a small group of international students from my own home in Mysore. There were no classrooms, no brochures, no long-term vision documents. Only conversations, shared meals, and an honest desire to explain Ayurveda as A Way of Living, through food, daily routines, and awareness.
Those early days taught me something important: when knowledge is shared with sincerity, it finds its own direction.
Over the years, that small beginning quietly evolved into something more than I could have ever asked for. What remained unchanged was the intention, to teach Ayurveda in its true spirit, without dilution, shortcuts, or trends.
I have since had the privilege of teaching 1000+ international students and wellness enthusiasts from across the world. Each student has shaped this journey. Their questions kept the science alive. Their trust kept me grounded.
Alongside teaching, I continue my clinical practice in Gokulam, Mysore, where Ayurveda is not theory, it is lived daily, refined through real patients, real challenges, and real healing.
This journey would not have been possible without my teachers who preserved this knowledge, my students who carried it forward across cultures, my patients who trusted me, and my family who stood quietly behind the scenes. I remain deeply grateful to each one of you.
There is still so much to learn, share, and build, with integrity, authenticity, and respect for tradition.
This is not the culmination.
It is simply the beginning.
With gratitude,
Dr. Chitralekha Krishnamurthy 🌿
P.S. This photograph holds a special place in my heart. It captures my very first batch of the Ayurvedic Diet and Nutrition course, taught from my home in Mysore.
