What is sinus?
This is the most common question ask in ent opd. Sinus is a natural hollow in the skull bone filled with air. It moisture the air and make it to the body temperature.
When the air is replaced by thick mucous or pus. It is called sinusitis and that is pathological condition require treatment.

There is five types of stones in ENT region.
1. Tonsillolith.

3. Submandibular gland and duct stone.

Thyroid is an endocrine gland situated in the neck. It secrets T3 and T4 hormone under the influence of TSH . When ever the hormone level changes the disease occur.
There are three types of the pathology of thyroid gland.
1 T3 T4 level low and TSH level high . Hypothyroidism wt. gain

2 T3 T4 level high and TSH level low. Hyperthyroidism wt. loss.

3. Tumor in the thyroid gland with normal T3 T4 TSH level.
