At Gram Vikash Parishad, Rangaloo, on 9th October 2025, we came together to celebrate the 26th World Sight Day — a day to remember that vision is a precious gift. Organized by the National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI), Nagaon, in association with Siraj Maternity & Eye Clinic & Gram Vikash Parishad, Rangaloo. Our awareness meeting and free eye testing & screening camp reached approximately twenty-five families and individuals. Detected cataract cases will undergo free surgery at Siraj Maternity & Eye Clinic.

We are deeply thankful to the NPCB&VI team, local leaders, volunteers, and everyone who attended and supported our mission. Seeing children, parents, and elders receive timely checks reminded us why community eye care matters: prevention saves sight. If you or your loved ones missed the camp, please don’t wait — book an eye checkup. Together we will protect the vision of our community.

Honoring our community's true healers 💐✨

On 1st July 2025, the Nagaon Lions Club celebrated Doctor’s Day at Siraj Maternity and Eye Clinic, paying heartfelt tribute to two of the most dedicated physicians of our town — Dr. Apurba Kumar Sarma, retired District Joint Health Officer, and Dr. Fauzia Hasin, compassionate eye specialist and Medical & Health Officer at Bhogeswari Phukanani Civil Hospital. Their tireless service and unwavering care have touched countless lives. 🩺❤️

They were felicitated with flowers, sweets, shawls, and a memento — symbols of the deep respect and gratitude they inspire in all of us.

The day also included a tree plantation and cleanliness drive led by passionate members of the club — a beautiful reminder that healing extends beyond clinics and hospitals into the heart of our community. 🌿🌍
