Aakkam Charitable and Social Trust We took the initiative with the vision that “No one shall be deprived of the basic needs”.

Aakkam Charitable and Social Trust (ACST) is a Social Welfare Organization striving for the uplifting of the poor, down trodden, disabled, uneducated, and under privileged people in the society irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The overwhelming response from the general public is the impetus for the growth of Aakkam Charitable and Social Trust. Now Aakkam Charitable and Social Trust functions as a social relief NGO striving for the uplifting of poor, sick, downtrodden and the under privileged. The vision of the Aakkam Trust is to motivate the younger generation to render service to the less fortunate. Its sub unit "Aakkam Trust Forum” enrolls members and forms committees at national state, district, taluk and village levels.

Desertification is caused primarily by climatic variations and human activities such as overexploitation and inappropriate land use. Over 250 million people are directly affected by desertification and drought, These people include many of the world‘s poorest, most marginalized and politically weak citizens.

Aakkam Charitable and Social Trust enrolls members for its tree plantation drives to protect the ecosystem of our planet for the present and future generations, Drought and Desertification awareness Progaram about sustainably managing the natural resources also provided by Aakkam Charitable and Social Trust, for thousands of people who are directly affected by desertification and drought.

World Blood Donor Day

Can one donate blood?
Who can donate blood?
What are it's advantages?
The body of a healthy man has 5 to 6 liters of blood.
The blood donor can give up 200 to 300 ml blood at a time.
The amount of blood donated will be reproduced by the normal food we eat within two weeks.
Blood donation can be done once every 3 months without any damage.
5 to 10 minutes is enough to donate blood.
Qualification for blood donation:
Age 17 to 55. Body weight should not be less than 45 kg, but without ailments like AIDS, jaundice and malaria.
Benefits:
Your blood clot is checked if your blood has jaundice, malaria, s*x disease and AIDS.
Often blood donors are more likely to develop blood pressure.
Every blood cell (cells) in the body is automatically destroyed and reproduced within three months.
Blood atom is always at work on the body.
