हार्ट फ़ेल्योर अक्सर लोगों द्वारा गलत समझा जाता है। यह एक आकस्मिक घटना या एक प्रकरण नहीं है। यह एक गंभीर मेडिकल कंडीशन है और इसका भ्रामक नाम है, हार्ट फ़ेल्योर के साथ दिल अचानक काम करना बंद नहीं करता है। इसके बजाय, हार्ट फ़ेल्योर धीरे-धीरे बढ़ता है क्योंकि हार्ट की मांसपेशी धीरे-धीरे कमजोर हो जाती है। 'फ़ेल्योर' शरीर की जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए पर्याप्त रक्त पंप करने के लिए हार्ट की अक्षमता को संदर्भित करता है।

हार्ट फ़ेल्योर के प्रभावी प्रबंधन के लिए, असामान्य हार्ट राइम को नियंत्रित करने में मदद करने के लिए पेसमेकर जैसे कार्डियक रीसिंक्रोंनाईजेसन थेरेपी (सीआरटी) CRT उपकरणों का उपयोग किया जाता है।

हार्ट फ़ेल्योर न केवल मृत्यु दर, रुग्णता के जोखिम को बढ़ाती है और रोगी के जीवन की गुणवत्ता को बिगाड़ती है, बल्कि देश के समग्र स्वास्थ्य प्रणाली पर भी भारी बोझ डालती है। भारत में लोगों में हार्ट फ़ेल्योर की घटनाओं में वृद्धि संभवत: इसलिए भी है क्योंकि भारत पारंपरिक हृदय रोगों के विभिन्न जोखिम वाले कारकों के बोझ तले दबा हुआ है। हालांकि, भारत में ऐसी उच्च-उन्नत और परिष्कृत तकनीकों तक पहुंच जैसे कि उच्च-ऊर्जा CRT-D हार्ट फ़ेल्योर के मामलों का प्रबंधन कर सकते हैं और जीवन को बचा सकते हैं।

यह उपकरण हार्ट को सामान्य दर पर धड़कने के लिए इलेक्ट्रिक पल्स का उपयोग करता है। डिफिब्रिलेटर नामक एक अन्य उपकरण एक ऐसा उपकरण है जो हार्ट को एक इलेक्ट्रिक पल्स या झटका भेजकर सामान्य धड़कन को बहाल करता है। यह अरीथीमिया को रोकने या ठीक करने के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है, दिल की धड़कन जो असमान है या जो बहुत धीमी या बहुत तेज होती है। डिफिब्रिलेटर दिल की धड़कन को भी बहाल कर सकता है अगर दिल अचानक काम करना बंद कर दे।

CRT-D नामक एक अत्यधिक परिष्कृत कार्डियक रेज़िन सिंक्रोनाइज़ेशन थेरेपी को वैश्विक रूप से पेसमेकर और डिफिब्रिलेटर दोनों के लाभ की पेशकश करने वाले कॉम्बो डिवाइस के रूप में उपयोग किया जाता है। वास्तव में सम्भवतः दुनिया का सबसे पतला क्वाड्रिपोलार CRT-D अब भारत में उपलब्ध है, जिसमें अधिक सुव्यवस्थित रोगी के देखभाल के लिए 10 वर्ष की असाधारण दीर्घायु है।

Happy to share that after successful completion of more than 100 EP/RFA cases for SVT patients in a period of 1.5 years, this time we did cases with *3D Guidance*…!!!

Total 14 cases this weekend out of which 4 were 3D cases…!!!

Complex Arrhythmia like Fasicular VT, Left atrial focal Tachycardia and Mahaim Tachycardia were tackled…!!!

This was the 1st time in Vidarbha region 3D system was used for EP/RFA …!!!

Young Female who developed Complete Heart Block after VSD repair surgery.

Underwent Pacemaker at outside centre from right side in past; presented now with syncope and fluroscopy s/o fracture of Lead.

Patient underwent dual chamber pacemaker - septal pacing from left side. (Avoided left side redo implant in view of stenosed subclavian vein and collateral formation…!!!)

ई.पी टेस्ट (Test) का दूसरा नाम EPS Study कहते है। एक हृदय इलेक्ट्रोफिजियोलॉजी (electrophysiology) अध्ययन जो हृदय के भीतर से विद्युत गतिविधि को रिकॉर्ड करने के लिए नस या धमनी के माध्यम से पेश किए गए कैथेटर का उपयोग करने वाली एक न्यूनतम इनवेसिव प्रक्रिया है।

यह विद्युत गतिविधि तब दर्ज की जाती है जब हृदय की प्रवाहकत्त्व प्रणाली का आकलन करने और अतिरिक्त विद्युत कनेक्शन की तलाश करने के लिए, और किसी भी असामान्य हृदय ताल के दौरान, जिसे प्रेरित किया जा सकता है। जिससे हम डॉक्टर किसी भी दिल की धडकन को नाप सकते है।

Electrophysiology (EPS) is a branch of cardiology that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.

The EPS is performed to diagnose the problem, whereas Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) is, done to treat it. In most cases, it is just continuation of the EPS and performed at the same sitting.
After localizing the abnormal focus or pathway, radiofrequency energy is passed through the catheter to heat up the catheter tip and destroy the abnormal tissue that causes the arrhythmia. This permanently cures the arrhythmia.

Electrophysiologists are the cardiologists with special training in heart rhythms disorders and its management.
