ANGER MANAGEMENT IN YOUNGSTERS
Anger in youngsters is not the problem.
The inability to understand, express, and regulate it is.
Today’s youngsters are growing up under constant pressure —
to perform, to belong, to be seen, to succeed fast.
When emotions have no safe outlet, anger often becomes the loudest voice.
Anger in youngsters often masks:
Fear of failure
Feeling unheard or misunderstood
Shame, rejection, or comparison
Lack of emotional vocabulary
Managing anger is not about suppression or punishment.
It is about building emotional awareness.
What helps:
Teaching them to name what they feel — beyond “angry”
Helping them pause before reacting
Creating spaces where emotions are met with curiosity, not judgement
Modelling calm regulation instead of emotional control
When youngsters learn that emotions are safe to feel and express,
anger transforms into clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
Emotionally regulated youngsters become
resilient adults, conscious leaders, and grounded human beings.
