Madhav Netralya Eye Institute & Research Center is a super speciality ophthalmic care facilities in Nagpur, which is centrally located in India. It is a centre of Excellence for ophthalmology with a working philosophy “organization not for profit”. Our dream project “Madhav Netralya Eye Institute & Research Center” is in memory of Param Pujya Guruji Shri Madhavraoji Sadashivrao Golwalkar, second Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh(RSS), as seer, thinker, organiser and an everlasting source of inspiration for millions. Madhav Netralaya has taken upon itself to bring vision and happiness to millions of visually impaired persons and stand out as a true epitome of excellence in Central India. We would need to provide the highest international standard quality services to the poorest of poor patients under one roof and super specialized doctors dedicating to this humanitarian cause. To make all this possible, we have called upon dedicated individuals, generous philanthropist's social organisation and corporate sector for financial and moral support, so irrespective of economic class, whether poor or rich, cast or creed, each one gets the same world class ophthalmic care and cures. We are a charitable institute duly registered with charity commissioner's office. Income tax department has also recognised us as a charitable organisation providing certificate under section 12A 80G. At Madhav Netralaya, we are confident that we shall be able to fulfil all our objectives mission and dreams with the help of professionally managed social organisations, corporate CSR and last but the least, humanists and philanthropists who care to make a difference to our countries and its people. On the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa on March 30, 2025, it was an honor for Madhav Netralaya to witness our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji laying the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre at Vasudev Nagar, Nagpur. The event marked a significant step towards advancing eye care particularly in the field of ophthalmology.
The event was also graced and blessed with the presence of RSS Sarsangh chalak P. P. Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ji and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari ji along with esteemed spiritual leaders Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj ji and Swami Govindadev Giri Maharaj ji.
Addressing the gathering, Modi Ji praised Madhav Netralaya’s decades-long service in restoring vision and expressed confidence that the new campus would enhance its healthcare initiatives for the entire central India. This new facility is expected to offer state-of-the-art 250-bed super specialty eye hospital, benefiting countless individuals by providing access to advanced treatments and quality healthcare. It is designed to set new benchmarks in ophthalmic care and research.
